Panasonic has unveiled its first Slow Juicer MJ-L500 at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2015, as part of its small home appliances to boost healthy-lifestyle. The juicer comes with stainless steel juicing screw and a powerful low-speed DC150W motor that allows you to make fresh fruit and vegetable juice at slow speed. The slow juice making technique limits the damage to fruit and vegetable nutrients; meanwhile oxidation of juice is also prevented.
Unlike traditional juicers, this new juicing technique is considered to be more beneficial. This is because the traditional juicers cut and spin food like a laundry machine, damaging the essential fruit nutrients. These conventional machines due to air exposure, oxidizes the juice while decolorizing its natural color. However, the Panasonic’s Slow Juicer squashes fruits and vegetables like a mortar to avoid deterioration of nutrients and air contact so that natural color and taste of fresh fruit juice is maintained.
In addition to regular juicing process, the juices will also come with anti-drip cap, juice beaker, pulp beaker and attachment for making frozen foods like ice cream or gelato. The Slow Juicer might hit the market by this July. Pricing and additional availability details will be announced at the main CES event only.
