Nuheat, North American manufacturer of electric floor heating systems has announced a Wi-Fi floor heating thermostat at the CES 2014. The Nuheat SIGNATURE is North America’s first Wi-Fi floor heating thermostat and is designed to offer user all the access of thermostat settings wirelessly by a smartphone app available for both iOS and Android devices. It will give user the power to remotely monitor and control the heated floor. It allow the user to view energy usage and change temperature by a single touch.
Developed exclusively by OJ Electronics for Nuheat, the SIGNATURE thermostat comes with a 3.5”, 320×480 pixel color backlit LCD touchscreen and a features a high gloss frame with a clear acrylic overlay. It easily connects to Wi-Fi network and can controlled via free smartphone apps (iOS and Android) or a web browser. Nuheat SIGNATURE is supported by The Weather Channel and can access information about outdoor temperature and weather forecast according to the zip/postal code. The clock comes with a 12 hours back-up power and automatic daylight savings time. It is compatible with most electric floor heating systems and the adaptive turn-on time features ensures warm floor when you return home from work. The Nuheat SIGNATURE thermostat will go on sale in the spring of 2014, however there is no word on the pricing yet.
