Irrespective of many of us claiming to be a lone wolf in our lives, deep down inside, we all crave to have a companion, whether in the form of a human or a pet. Florida-based tiny house firm Movable Roots Tiny Homes came across two such clients Sandra and Michelle who wanted a compact abode that was practical enough to sleep them and their beloved companions, four cats. Dubbed ‘Cat House’, the $165K tiny house offers 350 sq ft of living space in total.
“Our custom-built tiny home sits on a 28 feet Movable Roots trailer and boasts a unique design that not only suffices the need of the client but their four cats as well,” states the company. The tiny house boasts an exterior that features a wide awning with wind-sensing capabilities. What this implies is that the awning automatically retracts when the wind gets to a certain speed. Not to mention, it provides shade as well.
Moving on, the tiny house is firmly poised on a triple-axle trailer. It features a vinyl siding exterior with cedar accents. A red and white fiberglass door welcomes you inside the living room which consists of a couple of chairs facing a wall-mounted television. The living room also comprises a corner window bench that offers panoramic views and better ventilation alongside a seating option for the user. The entire home is accoutered with a gaggle of windows allowing natural light to kiss the interior.
Adjacent to the living room is the gourmet kitchen which is equipped with an abundant amount of cabinetry and custom storage options. There is plenty of counter space for users to prepare food. In addition to this, the kitchen counter also incorporates a cooktop and a sink with a faucet. A convection microwave is embodied in the overhead shelf space, while a Furrion fridge finds its place at one end of the kitchen.
Another highlight of the tiny house is a separate bathroom, and no I don’t mean an area that is partitioned via a sliding door. You’d have to walk on the opposite end of the tiny house to access the washroom. Featuring a washer/dryer, a sink, a fully lighted mirror with changing colors, a spacious shower with glass doors, a toilet, and plenty of cabinets, the bathroom is practical and aesthetic.

Most of you would be pondering, what’s there for the cat, some of you might even be bugged that you got baited to clickbait. Well, actually not, the $165K tiny house has a small cat door that provides access to the owner’s feline to move in and out. Not just this, the micro dwelling also constitutes a generous loft for the cats upstairs, which is equipped with robot litter boxes, hence preventing you from the hassle of cleaning.
The tiny house loft also features a king-size mattress that sleeps two to three people in a breeze. There is a walkway that leads to the other side of the loft that functions as a secondary bedroom and can sleep additional men. It is to be noted that the loft features a skylight, so the interior always stays light-filled. With all these features, no doubt the Cat House cost such a whooping amount.
