You ever think about hummingbirds: how beautiful they are, the color of their wings, and just how magnificently small those things are? Well, I do. More so recently, when I came across the Calliope tiny home by Rewild Homes. The 28-foot-long single-story Calliope gets its name after the hummingbird species that motivated the breathtaking color palette.
Boasting a stunning combination of painted cedar and tin, the exterior of the Calliope offers maximum durability. It features a drop-down deck with a lift-assist awning and fold-out stairs for convenience and weather protection to the glass door. The bright red front door comes equipped with smart home systems such as locks, lights, and outlets. It opens into a brightly colored interior that is full of surprises.
Here you will find a 5-foot-wide built-in desk area including an HDMI port which is connected to a projector mount on the ceiling. You can mount a projector screen on the large end window for cozy movie date nights. Under the desk is a pull-out dining area that includes two long benches so you can host intimate dinner gatherings. You can also use this space for crafting or working, a myriad of possibilities.

The bed is on the right side of the desk, while the kitchen and bathroom lie on the other side. The tiny house on wheels embraces a truly unique open-floor plan that I have not seen in any other tiny house. A storage-integrated staircase leads to the elevated bed area. It also has a little pet nook under the stairs so your feline or canine can lounge in style. The bed is flanked by three huge windows, so you can relax and enjoy the panoramic views.
Opposite the bed area, an elevated kitchen is located. Under the raised platform, a pull-out guest bed provides an additional sleeping area. The raised kitchen is dotted with more storage solutions and provides room for water tanks, an off-grid system, and storage access from the outside.

The kitchen is the most exquisite feature of the Calliope tiny home. It boasts granite countertops, deep royal blue cabinets, and under-cabinet lighting, making it a delight to behold; imagine cooking in it. The copper fixtures and finishes and raspberry-stained upper cabinets add a cherry on top to this sundae that this kitchen is. The kitchen comes equipped with propane on-demand water heat, a propane range, a dishwasher, a range hood, and a full-sized fridge.
The spacious bathroom is located past the kitchen and is clad in vivacious colors, too. It has a skylight and features a fiberglass-enclosed shower, a vanity with a copper bowl sink, floating shelves, a washer/dryer combo, and a composting toilet.
The red, blue, and white-clad interior offers a cozy life on the road. To make your off-grid adventure even more exciting and comfortable, the Calliope tiny home has a full solar system.
