This year CES is going to be full of smart home devices such as the Currant AI-Powered Smart Wall Outlet and LG’s Home Brewer etc. Joining the bandwagon is GE Lighting that will launch color-changing smart bulbs in its C by GE range.
GE introduced C by GE smart LED bulbs last year, and now they are adding new color-changing smart bulbs to its Made for Google lineup – these bulbs don’t require an extra hub and connect directly to Google Home products. These smart light bulbs offer millions of color options and are available as 60-watt A19 bulb, BR30 and as a lighting strip.
Like other C by GE smart lights, these color changing bulbs don’t require a smart home hub. Rather they use Bluetooth for connectivity and can be controlled from anywhere using the companion mobile app.

In addition to the color-changing smart bulb, GE is also launching smart light switches, smart wall plugs and a battery-powered motion sensor to control lighting according to movement and light in the room.
All of these smart home products will also be compatible with Amazon Alexa and Apple’s HomeKit using C-Reach hub and C by GE app soon.
GE’s color-changing smart bulbs and light strip is expected to cost between $40 and $75.
