Emily and Melvin served in the military and after that they wanted to travel as much as possible. To realize their dream the couple built a mobile tiny house for themselves. They used a 2010 Chevy Express 3500 six-window short bus to create a small house on wheels for themselves that offers 200 square feet of area for them to explore. The bus tiny house took around $50,000 to complete and provides an opportunity for the veteran couple to live in comfort and simultaneously run their media business work while on the go.
The entry door is made of Cedar wood which was crafted by Melvin as his very first attempt. Inside, there is a cozy dinette which the couple chose in place of a full-length couch because they also wanted to use the space as a work table. They can though convert the space to accommodate a couch by using the headboard from the bed area and adding cushions in the middle to make it a bigger size. Behind the dinette area, they added an extra storage shelf. It also has a charging station so when they work they can easily charge the laptops.
The kitchen has a solid surface countertop with a propane stove mounted on it. There is no shortage of storage as there are huge drawers to store dry items in them. In addition, there is an upper storage area. A farmhouse-style sink is in the middle and behind it is a water-drinking faucet. Underneath the sink is a trash can storage and water heater that is accessible from outside too. The bus tiny house also has a fridge and above it is a toaster oven. The closet area is next to the fridge with half-hanging storage and half-drawers.

In the back of the bus is a full-size mattress. Above the bed is AC which is very useful during hot days. The back of the bed has another fan for better air circulation. A footstool is used to reach the bed because of its height.
The bathroom is small but is useful for the couple. It has shower space and a cassette toilet. The shelf in the bathroom is made out of leftover Cedar from the front door.
Bus tiny house not only has useful interiors but it also has a pull-out table which can be used to enjoy dining when outside. The roof also has the provision to sit alongside the solar panels. The house got featured by Tiny Home Tours where both Melvin and Emily took turns to introduce their compact abode!
