One of the largest Scandinavian furniture manufacturers, Fora Form is adept in approaching and strategizing design as a tool to create furniture specified for meeting spaces in public environments. This time, it brings forth a playful chair named ‘BUD’, providing an elusive visual element to start engaging office interactions and elevate spaces.
Designers Skogstad and Wærnes approach the chair by assigning an open style creating a casual and inviting seat. The chair adopts a simple make expressed through a Nordic design. A curved backrest facilitates mobility with ease and has a 19 mm steel tube tucked in it. Molded with coat foam, the cushion at the back joins the seat below via three metal pipes.
The BUD chair has four models with subtle yet noticeable differences: BUD Stack, BUD Rotate, BUD Unite, and BUD Meet. There are visible variations in the way the chair’s legs drop down.
The BUD Stack has plastic glides and can be triple-stacked at once. The BUD Rotate facilitates motion with a swivel and has auto-return and plastic glides. The BUD Unite features soft rolling castors, a self-braking system, and can swing up to 360 degrees. The BUD Meet features titled legs joined in the center and a swing mechanism.
