Florida-based tiny house company, Movable Roots Tiny Homes, receives backlash for its overpriced tiny houses. Although the company doesn’t deliberately build a micro dwelling worth a king’s ransom, these extravagant tiny homes are made only on special demand. So, when the client wants to accouter the home with top-notch appliances and accessories, it is bound to cost big bucks. Having said that, Movable Roots Tiny Homes unveiled another not-so-cheap mobile house that offers a luxurious feel to the user. Dubbed Boehm, the $160,000 tiny house sits on a 28-foot-long trailer and offers 265 square feet of space.
The tiny house boasts an exterior featuring vertical and horizontal siding painted in dark charcoal with white and light grey accents, while the interior features vinyl flooring capped with a metal roof. French doors welcome you inside the plush house with a living room, master bedroom, loft bedroom, gourmet kitchen, and bathroom.
The living room is the first space you see upon entering. It is equipped with an elevated couch that lies above a storage unit featuring multiple pull-out drawers. These drawers are ideal for housing books and other nitty-gritty essentials. Not to mention, an under-storage dog bed to sleep the owner’s pooch. In addition, two metal pull-out tables can be joined with the couch to form a dining space.
The ultra-modern home also has a main floor master bedroom with a Murphy bed and a guest loft. The master bedroom is separated from the living room area via ceiling-to-floor wood barn doors. It not only offers privacy but also ensures an empty space to relax when the Murphy bed is not dropped down.
The bedroom also includes storage cabinetry and a fold-down desk that makes the home perfect for workaholics. The tiny house also features a guest bedroom located in the loft, which is accessed via a removable ladder.

Adjacent to the living room is the kitchen of the tiny house. Featuring tons of storage and amenities, the kitchen is highly functional. We can spot stained overhead cabinets on one wall with white cabinets under the counter, all allowing plenty of space for storing cookware and groceries. As far as amenities are concerned, the kitchen features a sink, a small built-in oven, and a two-burner cooktop, alongside a full-size fridge.
Next, we have the bathroom, which features a walk-in shower, toilet, sink, and plenty of cabinets. Movable Roots justifies the $160,000 tiny house price tag for the Boehm tiny house considering it offers users a cozy and functional area that is filled with jaw-dropping features.
