Is it just me or does the 733 Bodyfriend Massage Chair look like an Autobot trying to hide from Decepticons? This Transformer-esque 733 Massage Chair was unveiled at CES 2025 and was an instant hit. South Korean maker of at-home massage chairs, Bodyfriend, combined advanced AI healthcare technology with a biomimicry-inspired design for the 733 Massage Chair.
The award-winning AI healthcare robot chair leverages the company’s robotics technology to create independently controlled movement in the arm and leg massage areas. The innovative massage chair features AI healthcare functions and uses biometric data for disease prediction and health assessment.
The users must link the chair with Bodyfriend’s subsidiary Medical AI’s medical service app HeartSafe. By doing so, the user can measure and analyze their electrocardiogram in real time. It could work wonders as home-based monitoring of cardiac health and stress levels.
Since the 733 massage chair features Bodyfriend’s patented bipedal system, you can enjoy single-leg stretching, PNF stretching, and walking movement to help strengthen the pelvis. The massage chair enables a range of exercises and rehabilitation activities with muscle relaxation and flexibility. The integrated exercises include shoulder and hip joint stretching, ankle stretching, breathing exercises, and arm rotation.
The arm massage sections rotate autonomously when the massage mode with the exercise effect is activated. It helps stretch the deltoid muscles and shoulder joints to improve mobility. Moreover, 733 is designed to rise and sit independently, making it easier for the users to get on and off the massage chair. This feature helps the elderly comfortably sit down or stand up from the chair. Bodyfriend says it is looking forward to the advent of wearable robots instead of plain sitting chairs with the 733.

The standing chair design enables full-body movement, helping rehabilitate for conditions with one-sided weakness. Aimed at muscle relaxation, flexibility, and rehabilitation, the chair’s vertical arm and leg sections can move up to 96 degrees, enabling strength training.
Still don’t see the resemblance with the Transformers? All right. Just let me point out that the 733 Massage Chair is available in two colors: the yellow and black version is the twin of Autobot Bumblebee, while the blue and red version looks like Optimus Prime in disguise.
The Bodyfriend 733 won the Honoree in Digital Health at CES 2025. The chair is available for preorder at $20,000. I know, it is a hefty tag but you can fork up twenty grand for a Transformer, right?
