We have been following the works of Modern Tiny Living for quite a long time. The custom tiny house designer and builder is based in Columbus, Ohio, and has exhibited some of the most impressive tiny houses ever seen. One such model that caught my eye, courtesy of its design and color scheme, is the Bison tiny house.
Bison is a custom 28 feet tiny home and has got its name after the largest animal in North America. The spectacular tiny house features not one, but two king-size lofts adjoined by an elevated catwalk, which comes out as its biggest USP. Aside from the windows, each loft features a spectacular skylight to allow plenty of natural light to pour inside. Not to mention, a spectacular wood accent ceiling that breathes new life into the interior.
But before we get to the loft area, let’s start with the basics. Build on a triple-axle trailer, the tiny house features wooden accents. The doors and the window of the tiny house are colored pastel green which contrasts with the wooden style, hence exhibiting a rustic charm. I was left in awe after I saw the impressive color scheme used in both the exterior and interior of the house.
As you enter the tiny home, you move into a space that is encompassed by a steel roof and luxury vinyl tile (LVT) flooring. Upon stepping inside, you are graced by an open living room. Since it’s a custom build, you can choose whatever you want as there is enough space for a sofa and a center table. The honeycomb-tiled accent floor and wall that has been prepped for a wood-burning stove provide an accent space.
Apart from the living room, the main floor level includes a kitchen, bathroom, and staircases that lead to the two loft bedrooms. The custom dual staircase comes with built-in storage. The kitchen features all the necessities from a propane gas oven with a four-burner top to a refrigerator and a huge 30-inch sink. There is an L-shaped Quartz countertop that is perfect for eating and working.

Next, we have the bathroom that features a full vanity with a mirror and a medicine cabinet. It has a composting toilet and a custom-tiled shower. In addition, it is pre-plumbed for a stackable washer and dryer which finds a place in the extendable stretch, I assume. We’ve already discussed the loft bedroom area and that brings us to the price of the tiny house. Well, there is no word on the price yet, but I estimate it to be around $80,000.
