Benedetto Bufalino is a French artist known for repurposed installations and objects that one can’t even dream of. Surprising the world with his unique creations like repurposed car ping pong table and a fully-functional outdoor Jacuzzi crafted out of an old SEAT Ibiza Sedan, he is once again in limelight for turning an old car into a life-size wood-fired pizza oven.
In this unusual build, he removed all interior components including seats, wheels and windows from the car. The interior of the wood burning section is made by creating a shelf within the car, covered with an all-brick surface that can sustain high temperatures. Windows are replaced with retractable metal panels that retain heat within. There’s a metal door that retracts down to provide a view of inside. All you need is put logs and set them on fire.
Bufalino created this wood-fired pizza car oven as a part of the French Cultural Art Association 2Angles, and attracted a plenty of visitors.
It is obvious from the pictures that it cooks pizzas but it is not at all a cost-effective way to hold a pizza party in your neighborhood. However, I am skeptic about heat distribution and smoke emission, otherwise, a pizza oven on wheels sounds a great idea.

If compared to other wood-burning pizza ovens, the cooking chamber is probably going to ask for more wood.
