Baluchon is one of those tiny house manufacturers that loves to improvise on its tried and tested base layout. Subtle changes such as an additional loft, a suspended net bed, and an office nook under the ladder to the loft, are all made to the perfected architectural style. After giving adults enough to celebrate, the French company has now come up with the La Maison du Bonheur, which translates to ‘House of Happiness,’ for kids!
Measuring 20 feet in length, the tiny house is based on a double-axle trailer and finished in cedar cladding. The tiny house on wheels is designed for a mother and her daughter. Blandine’s created the tiny house for her daughter Anaïs with a vision of a dwelling that also functions as an inside playground.
However, it’s not the first time the mother-daughter duo has knocked on Baluchon’s door. Back in 2021, the French builders designed two mezzanines’ tiny homes for them. This time around Blandine wanted a tiny house exclusively for her daughter to live in as she grows older.
Drifting our attention back to the floor plan; the tiny house packs a living area, kitchen, loft, and bathroom. The ‘House of Happiness’ is graced by an indoor playground featuring a slide, mat, and a climbing wall. Beneath the slide, there is also a separate small playhouse for Anaïs which mimics a dungeon in some fairy tale. Not to mention, the living area has additional storage space to keep toys and books.
Other than being a playhouse, La Maison du Bonheur is furnished with a dining table and seating for three. There is a small wood-burning stove to keep Anaïs and her friends warm. And just when the kids get tired, a small kitchen equipped with a two-burner propane-powered stove, fridge, sink, and cabinetry can come to use for preparing a quick meal. The kitchen is adjacent to the bathroom, which features a shower and a toilet.

La Maison du Bonheur has a single loft bedroom accessible by a staircase that’s integrated with a slide. Intelligently designed, the entire house is an ode to childhood and reminiscent of the days gone by. The bedroom just like any other Baluchon creation features a low ceiling with some storage sections. The house has been delivered to the client in southeast France. We have no word on its price but by a rough estimate, it could be around $85,000.
