Paris-based Pidan studio specializes in designing easy-to-use products to offer a better living environment for cats. Last year, one of its Igloo cat litter box won Reddot Design Award. Designed by Ying Zhihan, this 3D-printed cat litter box with 20×20 CM open entrance ensures optimal airflow and can accommodate cats of all ages and sizes.
Inspired by Inuit igloo homes in the Arctic, its spherical shape and covered inner layout make it perfect for cats as well for owners. As it weighs just 7 kgs, so a normal person can carry it easily. Its top part can also be taken off to clean the sand-filled basin.
From the start of the entrance, there is a grill to prevent spilling of sand in the home. As the cat walks over it, sand and litter particles cling onto paws of the kittens fall down and this way helps in keeping the home clean. The Igloo cat litter box is made of PP resin materials from Taiwan and Inopure anti-bacterial materials from Japan that keep the structure lightweight and safer for cats.

It is available in three different colors that add a different charm to space. You can purchase the white one for US$53 through the crowd-funding campaign at Design Nest, an offshoot of industrial design company Allocacoc, while other colors come with a price tag of US$67.
