Arizona-based AT Overland has expanded its Aterra Series with a new hard-sided slide-in camper. Built upon the features of its Aterra XLF pop-up camper, the new model is designed for adventurers seeking high level of customization in a hard-sided shell. You can buy it either as a fully equipped, ready-to-live-in unit or an empty shell for DIY builds. Suitable for full-size pickup trucks, both of the options let you create a standing height shelter on your camping trip.
The first option is ideal for DIY enthusiasts looking to personalize their overlanding rig. It comes as a blank canvas without built-in appliances, which gives you complete freedom to design the interior your way. However, it includes a 74-inch-wide and 80-inch-long extendable cabover bed with a three-inch mattress.
The standard package includes a forward power cabinet with a cushioned seat, two folding wall-mounted tables, a solar-powered electrical system with USB ports and power sockets, a DC port on the roof for Starlink Mini, a vent fan, and dimmable interior lighting, along with a few safety features.
For the kitchen setup, you can add a sink module with a water tank and pump, as well as a separate fridge box. Additional upgrade options include a heater, gas tank, shower cube, composting toilet, air conditioner, bench seating, storage cabinets, MOLLE panels, awnings, and more.

The slide-in camper measures 76 inches wide, 130 inches long, and 84 inches tall from the truck bed floor. Inside, it offers 81 inches of headroom in the main living area and 32 inches at the highest point above the bed.
Constructed with a 1-inch honeycomb composite, the shell maintains a lightweight yet durable build that weighs about 757 lbs. for the DIY version and 817 lbs. for the standard model. It also provides solid insulation, with an R6 rating for the walls and R7 for the roof.
The Aterra slide-in camper is designed to fit full-size pickup trucks with 5.5 feet, 6.5 feet, 6.75 feet, and 8 feet beds, making it compatible with popular brands like RAM, Ford, Toyota, Chevrolet, and more. Its fully enclosed, hard-sided shell provides a secure and well-insulated space for any season. The AT Overland DIY-ready slide-in camper starts at $30,000, while the fully equipped standard model is priced at $32,000.
