Dutch designer Annebet Philips is well known for her distinctive chairs featuring uniquely shaped backrests. Following a similar approach, her latest chair design the Lucky Seat bearing the unique shape of a four-leaf clover is finally coming to the market. She has collaborated with Maison Drucker, the maker of original Parisian bistro chairs to mass-produce the chair. This outdoor furniture piece beautifully merges the bold, distinctive style of Studio Annebet Philips with the exquisite craftsmanship and ‘savoir-faire’ of Maison Drucker.
The Lucky Seat chair is a playful take on the lucky clover, designed as a positive statement piece. It serves as a reminder to count your blessings or as a symbol of time representing hope, luck, love, faith, balance, and protection. Its name reflects the idea of luck and chance, like winning a prized seat in a lottery or arena.
This terrace chair comes with an aluminum frame and Satin fiber (Raucord). These materials make it lightweight, durable, stackable, easy to maintain, and suitable for outdoors. The weaving patterns are customizable in different colors. Weaving of the seat can be stopped under the seat in the Elegance option, on the side of the seat with a rattan border in the traditional option, or on the side of the seat with the plastic border in the heavy-duty option.
This handcrafted outdoor chair measures 23.25 inches (59 cm) wide, 20.5 inches (52 cm) deep and 30.68 inches (78 cm) overall height. The standard height of the seat is 45cm but it can be lowered down to 38cm or up to 90cm to create a high chair. Weighing 11 lbs (approx. 5 kg), it can be easily moved around your patio or deck.
