Anker has already made waves with its portable outdoor projectors like the Nebula Mars 3 portable Google TV projector with built-in Netflix and Cosmos which debuted via Kickstarter in 2022. Now, the brand has launched Nebula X1 4K outdoor projector. Touted to deliver cinema-grade visuals, it features a powerful triple-laser light source that can reach a peak brightness of 3,500 ANSI lumens, which is greater than the above mentioned models.
The Nebula X1 smart projector is equipped with a 14-element all-glass lens for high clarity, thermal stability, and great focus. The projection system adopts a U-shaped laser optical path that increases brightness by 10 percent. The picture quality is further improved by NebulaMaster Image Processing Engine, with coverage of 110 percent of the Rec.2020 color space.
A single diffuser ensures 90 percent uniformity in brightness and color, producing natural, true-to-life images. With a native contrast ratio of 5,000:1, it brings out fine details even in the darkest scenes.
The Nebula X1 reads the room with AI Spatial Adaptation and automatically adjusts image size, focus, and alignment to fit your wall or screen with one tap. It is equipped with a number of sensors, including TOF, Zoom TMR, Focus TMR, ambient light sensor, and a camera that work together to optimize the projection based on your environment.
The projector also remembers screen size and viewing preferences of a particular spot, which can be later restored to the same place with any reconfiguration. Real-time autofocus and automatic keystone correction maintain visuals even if the projector is moved. It also adjusts picture quality to wall colors and ambient light to offer the best possible viewing experience in any space.
The motorized optical zoom is one standout feature that lets you easily adjust the image size to fit any space without moving the projector. You can project a 200-inch image from a 13-foot distance using this feature. The built-in micro gimbal further allows 25 25-degree auto adjustment to adapt to different wall sizes.

For sound, each unit has four built-in speakers (two 15W and two 5W) and can also be paired with two Wi-Fi speakers with just one cable. Each wireless speaker has a 20W upward-firing driver and a 20W side-firing driver to offer a surround-sound experience.
Another cool highlight is the liquid cooling system that improves heat dissipation by 15 percent, reduces size by 30 percent, and lowers noise to 26 dB. The projector also comes with multiple connectivity options, including an eARC HDMI port, and can be controlled with a remote, touch buttons, a mobile app, and voice commands.
With all these impressive features, the Nebula X1 4K outdoor projector comes at a premium price of £2,700 (around $3,600). However, you can pre-order it now and enjoy a 25 percent discount as part of the launch offer.
