The Italian startup Hi-Interiors is bringing its all new HiCan smart bed to the Fuorisalone 2018. The startup successfully crowd-funded the project back in 2016 through an Indiegogo campaign. Designed by Edoardo Carlino, this innovative furniture piece makes use of “Internet of Things” and modern sleep improvement technologies to ensure better sleep and well-being.
The idea of incorporating IoT technology in furniture design has given birth to the Internet of Furniture.
From gaming and TV to wireless music, the innovative smart bed includes a number of multimedia features to improve sleep experience.
Some of them include smart controls for built-in light and audio-video components to ensure a better experience and additional comfort. A dedicated multi-platform app makes it possible without moving an inch.
In addition to multimedia features, the HiCan smart bed is equipped with a health tracker to monitor sleep pattern. The sensors collect data about your sleep pattern and provide immediate feedback to improve your sleep.

On the inside, there is a large screen in front of the bed. One wall is intended to hang your memories, while the other is a clear glass window.
Touted as the world’s most revolutionary bed, it is a perfect blend of design and technology to make sleep a more authentic experience.
Starting at €36,000 ($44,560), the HiCan smart bed can be equipped with a variety of features you need in your bed.
