Winter is coming fast and here we are again ready to celebrate festival of the dead. US-based Drink Company has also turned its Game of Thrones pop-up bar into Pub Dread, a horror-themed pop-up bar to celebrate the fall and frightening Halloween season. The season is eerily-spooky, which inspired Derek Brown and his partners Angie and JP Fetherston to decorate the spaces formerly known as Mockingbird Hill, Southern Efficiency, and Eat the Rich at 1839 7th Street NW in a horror theme. Annabelle dolls, animatronics elements, creepy wall decals, faux grass, and light effects will be used to spruce up the interior in horror theme.
Different themes will be used in different sections of the pop-up bar – one room has several shelves filled with old dolls and the other one has a haunted forest with a big spider web spooking up the space. There is also a David Bowie-themed room to relive your punk desires. You can also find haunting signboards stating that all bar glasses are possessed, and taking them out of the bar can result in a curse on your house. Another scary room contains coffins and tombstones for guests to take pictures with.

Bartenders in scary costumes will serve Halloween-themed cocktails, including David S. Pumpkins, Beetle juice, Wanna Play a Game, We All Float Down Here, and The Dead Will Walk The Earth, which is a mixture of tequila and charred pineapple tonic. These Halloween festivities of the Pub Dread will continue until October 31.
