Recently we featured the membrane chair, which is one of the elegant furniture designs created by the talented British designer Benjamin Hubert. This chair was an Eco-design lounge chair that made use of industrial materials in its construction and was unveiled at the Milan Design Week 2013. Another one of his magnificent designs, the Cradle Chair, also got the opportunity to be showcased at Salone Del Mobile 2013.
He collaborated with Italian furniture brand Moroso to create this minimalist lounge chair. This lovely design intermingles two variant classifications of seating. One of which is a net structured hammock and the other one is a traditional upholstered chair.
The pleasing aesthetics of the comfortable chair combine a structural rectilinear backrest with a soft upholstered seating area. The material used to make the backrest is CNC-cut Kvadrat non-elastic textile with a geometric cut pattern and also comprise of a metallic frame that lets it perform in a three-dimensional way.
While the seating block is made of Molded Polyurethane Kvadrat textile providing a soft upholstered seat for the user to comfortably relax. This way the chair is made to easily support the body and also minimizes the products overall weight and cost.
