Well, a hammock is usually associated with summer to enjoy a perfect breezy evening while relaxing. But Sierra Madre Research has made this summer accessory winter ready with their Inferno Cocoon Hammock. This cocoon hammock acts as an insulator to offer you consistent warmth throughout the night. So, you won’t have to spend whole night shivering in cold.
Inferno cocoon hammock is a full-length insulator to keep the person warm from head to toe. The hammock consists of TopQuilt and UnderQuilt that serve as an exterior sleeping bag. Both these quilts are made from a hydra-shield fabric, which is designed to protect the user from dropping winter temperatures. Moreover, its water repellent RDS 800 fill power keeps you warm even during the formation of mist.
The quilts incorporate interior flow gate technology that allows even flow of heat for a comfortable sleep. The Inferno top has a hood and a foot rest along with a backless design. This makes it easy for the user to hop in and out. Besides providing warmth and protection from outdoor elements, the sleeping bag is designed to keep the view of eyes clear, so you can enjoy the night sky.
After use, it can be folded into a compact form for easier transportation. Its compact layout makes it a must-have gear for winter camping. Currently, the makers are seeking funds on Kickstarter for the production of this winter hammock. If the project is successful, you can expect the shipment of your inferno cocoon hammock by November 2017.
