A Spanish designer, Oscar Rubio, has designed a series of luminaires that include lamps, pendant lamps, table lamps and floor lamps debuted as Play light. He created these excellent lighting pieces by making use of aluminum sheets and poplar wood. The bottom half of the aluminum lampshades are pierced with circular holes which can be blocked with pins and the light pass through these holes to form letters. According to the designer who is a diploma holder in Product Design at the School of Design of La Rioja, Spain, these lighting objects does not only perform the normal function of illumination but also communicates with the user.
