Canary launched its new security camera called Flex for both indoor and outdoor use. It is a pill-shaped weatherproof camera that can withstand rain, snow, and sand. The 360-degree swiveling base of the camera can set it at any angle you want.
The camera’s automatic night vision, a wide-angle lens, and a built-in speaker ensure you get perfect footage at any hour. There are built in air-sensors within the camera to detect nearby movements and start recording immediately when it senses something unusual around it.
Furthermore, it can automatically push an alert to the owner to see unwanted activities through the smartphone app. Canary Flex Security Camera obviously needs a Wi-Fi connection to stay connected with the app. However, Canary has also launched a 4G LTE mount in collaboration with Verizon, so the camera can work even if there’s no Wi-Fi.
Flex can even be powered by its built-in rechargeable battery for many months, so there’s no need of a power outlet all the time. It also comes with a one-year warranty and will soon feature two-way talk functionality. Canary’s Flex camera is now available for pre-order through its website for $199. Although there’s no specific shipping date yet, but according to Canary the camera and mounts can be expected this fall.
