Designed by Roberto Gil for Casa Collection, these adult-sized loft beds are ideal for limited space apartments or micro-units. Since 1990, N.Y.-based designer Roberto Gil has been creating compact multipurpose furniture for children and adults under his brands Casa Kids and Casa Collection.
Now he expanded his Casa Collection line to include two new loft bed designs: Urbano and Arca. Both these loft beds are an alternative to Murphy beds and come with ample storage, seating and working spaces beneath the upper-level sleeping loft.
Measuring 119 x 83 x 107-inches tall, the Urbano is king-sized loft bed that features walk-in closets, dressers, drawers, desk and shelving units underneath the sleeping platform. The couch and other units are meant to be part of a living room by daytime. At night, one can use the attached ladder to access the sleeping loft. Furthermore, the cabinet in the closet also includes a roll-out Trundle bed to accommodate extra guests.
The Arca bed fits in a queen mattress and features a bench, open storage space, as well as a desk beneath the loft. It measures 83 x 63 x 80-inches along with a small ladder. This one is idyllic for very small houses or bachelor pads.
Both multipurpose models are made from natural or walnut birch/plywood finish and can be customized as per the customer’s preferences. The Urbano is priced at $15,000, whereas the Arca costs $6,000. These beds can be custom ordered from Casa Collection right away.
