For past 130 years Japanese ceramic studio Kutani Choemon has been making tableware and tea ceremony utensils using the traditional craft. The studio that still supports traditional craft of Kutani art (Japanese porcelain) works with the team of skilled artisans to showcase what amount of detailing and precision it requires to paint Kutani artwork on everyday tableware and tea pottery.

The techniques that have been passed on from generation to generation highlight how much concentration and steady hand is required to create beautiful lines of art. The studio supporting in-house integrated production has been making products that are hand-painted to achieve assiduity.

Supporting rich blue or white colors and traditional Kutani glaze, each piece is a masterpiece that shows the dedication of painters who have been converting everyday tableware into a work of art.

The studio supporting and promoting Japanese traditional craft, has also collaborated with international designers like Jaime Hayon and is creating products for Disney. Here is the video that will take you to the world of Kutani artisans and how skillfully they control colors and brushes.
