Hong Kong-based Ben Dramon, founder and managing director of BNA Concepts has given a real tribute to 1987’s Nike Air Max 1 by creating handmade Neon tabletop lamp – Nike Air Max 1 OG. The limited edition lamp is made from glass tubes, which together makes for a perfect replica of the classic sneakers originally designed by Tinker Hatfield.
Each unit comes with an L-shaped bracket to give you freedom to hang the sneakers lamp rather than placing it on a table. The 30 x 25 cm lamp is powered with 12V-500mA adaptor.
Only 187 of these limited edition will be available. The number is judiciously picked – ‘1’ represents the Air Max 1 model and ‘87’ to accolade the release year of the sneakers.
If you have been fan of Nike’s sneakers and want to have the handmade sneakers-inspired lamp at home, pre-order the neon lamp at Sneakerdeco for just €199 (approximately $223); shipping starts October 15.
The lamp will be shipped in a double-boxed resistant carton foiled with foam, to avoid any breakage during shipping.
