For someone who didn’t watch animated movies growing up, Disney was a coming of age. When you watch Disney movies in adulthood, whether animated or live-action, you are more intrigued by the nuanced characters and little details than the fairytales. Beauty and the Beast, with its keen focus on little things, is no exception in that lineup. Bringing an offering worthy of the unicorns who are both Disney and LEGO fans, LEGO has recreated the castle from Disney’s animated movie Beauty and the Beast, and it is laser-focused on the specifics.
The LEGO Group collaborated with The Walt Disney Company to create the magical Beauty and the Beast Castle brick set. It is the latest to join LEGO’s Disney Castle range and evokes the memories of watching the movie for the first time. With 2,916 pieces, the castle lets you build a four-level splendor with multiple rooms. This includes a ballroom with a spinning floor, a dining room with a table and spinning platters, a tower room with the enchanted rose, and a massive library taking up the entire floor.
Designed for adults, this Disney castle is perfect for the fans of the movie to celebrate the unique story of Belle and the Beast through intricate details. There are 10 LEGO minifigures of the characters from the classic film included in the set so you can play out the plot. The minifigures include Belle, the Beast, Gaston, LeFou, Maurice, Lumière, Fifi, Cogsworth, Chip, and Mrs. Potts.
The castle stands 20.5 inches tall, 12.5 inches wide, and 6 inches deep. Once you build this brick setup, it looks like a dollhouse with a regal front and an open back revealing the interior. The front side of the castle reveals four levels and a crest at the top. The castle with purple exterior and red roof looks adorable and is packed with details inside-out.

The all-too-important rose is depicted in various colors throughout the castle, although the main one, the enchanted rose kept under the glass cloche in the tower room, is red. You will find the spinning ballroom to enact the beloved dancing scene between Belle and the Beast, the grand staircase from where Belle descends in her yellow ball gown, and the dining setup where both share awkward meals during their initial adjustment period of knowing each other.
There are many Easter eggs that you get to find as you build this brick castle. It is perfect for Disney fans and brickheads alike. Priced at $279.99, the LEGO Beauty and the Beast Castle set 43263 will be available for all from 4th April, while LEGO Insiders get early access from the 1st April.
