I’ve been in and out of hospitals since 2003, accumulating a mountain of medical records: prescriptions, test reports, and doctors’ notes. For years, I’ve wanted to digitize them, but the process always felt overwhelming. I’ve experimented with a few scanners over time, but the effort has been tedious, with shady prints and inconsistent pagination.
The moment we received the CZUR ET24 Pro in our office, I knew what to do with it. I assigned it to digitizing my medical documents, and it handled them well. Unlike other scanners that required physical contact, this overhead-style scanner captured everything with precision while keeping the pages completely intact. The scans were perfect and bright, editable digitally, and I was saved the frustration of scanning bound documents; the scanner knew when and what it was scanning while I flipped the pages without additional adjustments.

Seamless, High-Quality Scanning
Since its release, the CZUR ET series has consistently impressed users with its high-quality results and versatility, and the ET24 Pro continues this legacy. This was in the back of my mind, but what ET24 actually pulled off, not just with my medical records, but with the set of old classics and manuscripts that we run under the 24 megapixels and 320 DPI scanner was surprising.
The CZUR ET24 Pro is designed as an efficient and reliable way to digitize books, documents, magazines, etc. Its Laser Curve-Flatten Technology is essentially the stand-out feature. No matter how aged your paper material is, the scanner – with embedded tech – can automatically flatten pages, ensuring perfect scans even for thick books and bound documents. This for me eliminated the common problem of distortion that usually occurred when scanning bound materials using other book scanners.

Smart and User-Friendly Features
Setting up the CZUR ET24 Pro was incredibly simple, which should make it accessible even to non-tech-savvy users. It is compatible with Windows, macOS, and Linux (Ubuntu 18.04), making it a versatile choice for various users. The intuitive software allows tagging and organization of scanned materials easily. Instead of manually renaming and categorizing files, you can instantly save them with relevant markers to ensure they are searchable for future reference.

With features like auto-alignment, smart paging, auto-mending, and multi-target scanning, the scanner streamlines the entire digitization process. I would be honest in accepting that we have not been able to put all the features under the scanner, literally, but the auto-scanning function did come in handy. When scanning some of the bound documents, I noticed that the scanner would stop movement for a couple of seconds before capturing an image. It was ensuring that accidental hand placements or page adjustments did not interfere with scans.

I particularly found the capability of the scanner to accurately convert the scanned text into editable and searchable digital content pretty useful. With built-in OCR (Optical Character Recognition) the scanner allowed me to have my medical reports and prescriptions saved as searchable PDFs and editable Word files – in cases where I choose to do so. CZUR notes that the scanner can do this for more than 180 languages, but I have only tested it with English text.

Interesting Lighting System
Lighting plays a crucial role in scanning quality, and CZUR has gone above and beyond with its LED light system. To simplify things for us, the ET24 Pro comprises two overhead LED bars and an attachable sidelight. This side light makes the scanning process really easy especially when you are dealing with glossy paper for the CT and MRI scans.
By connecting the adjustable side LED at a vertical angle, I was able to eliminate reflections and shadows from the scanned documents. I haven’t tested it, but given the results I have achieved with the digital variants of the scan images, I can say the ET24 Pro would easily handle high-gloss photographs and other similar documents.

Portable and Multi-Functional
Weighing only 1.5 kg with dimensions of 362.45 x 351.5 x 149.30 mm, the CZUR ET24 Pro is compact enough for on-the-go scanning. This portability is a major advantage when you need to scan materials at different locations without having to transport a bulky scanner. Beyond scanning, the built-in HD camera and microphone allow the ET24 Pro to double as a visual presenter. We used it in our office to display website design plans in a team meeting and to share online presentations with different stakeholders. HDMI connectivity ensured smooth, high-quality video streaming when the scanner was used as a presenter.
Verdict
If you’re looking for a high-performance book scanner that is actually functional and easy to use, the CZUR ET24 Pro should be a good choice. It has changed my perception of book and document scanning. It allowed me to digitize an entire manuscript and my medical records in just a few minutes without compromising quality. When you take it home, you will definitely feel the difference as well.
