UK-based Gozney first entered the market with a mailbox-shaped portable pizza oven back in 2016. Now, the company has launched Tread, a portable oven that is said to be 33 percent lighter than the original Roccbox model. Designed with portability in mind, it easily packs down in the Venture bag that you can easily store in the trunk of your car and its roof handles make it easy to carry around.
The Gozney Tread pizza oven measures 16.5W x 12.6H x 19.1D inches, slightly compact compared to its competitor Ooni Koda 12. However, when it comes to weight, it sits on the heavier side at 29.7 lbs. While it may not be suitable for backpacking at that weight, it is perfect for car camping.
Tread can accommodate a 12-inch pizza or cast-iron pan. It has an optional Venture telescopic stand that allows you to set up an outdoor kitchen anywhere. The pizza oven can also be upgraded with optional accessories including a carry bag, roof rack, turning peel, and mantel.
Constructed from hyper-rugged aluminum and steel paired with removable cordierite cooking stone, the pizza oven employs a lateral gas burner to mimic a traditional wood-fired flame. The design features single-layer insulation that makes it heat up quickly in just 15 minutes. The oven can reach a maximum temperature of 950 degrees Fahrenheit within 15 minutes to cook a pizza in 60 seconds. It cools down in just as much time so you are not waiting for a long time to pack up and leave.

Hailed as the world’s most portable pizza oven, the Gozney Tread uplifts the outdoor pizza cooking game. The design is more compact than competitors, but the weight is still a consideration. Ideal for small families, it will be available starting March 11 for $500.
