The global furniture brand Nordiska Galleriet, popularly known as NO GA, has launched a new collection by two well-known Swedish designers. Axel Wannberg and Sami Kallio, who are known for their art and skill especially when it comes to working on a design with a hands-on approach, have crafted something that NA GO is proudly displaying for interested collectors at Stockholm Design Week, 2025. The new collection by NA GO features a remodeled lamp and a chair designed by Axel Wannberg and Sami Kallio, respectively.
The Lamp 53 by Axel Wannberg was a hit in Stockholm Design Week 2023 and was originally crafted using wood. NA GO has reworked the old blueprint and changed the wooden material to metal in the new production of the iconic lighting piece.
It has metal as the primary building material with an impression of sharp edges but the tactile experience is super smooth. The name of the lamp is so because it has a characteristic 53-degree angle at its corners.
The second inclusion in the NA GO collection is Sami Kallio’s Empire Chair which draws its inspiration from 1920s architecture. The chair looks simple but displays great craftsmanship by Kallio. The frame of the Empire chair is made using solid ash, while the seat is created using woven techniques of bespoke webbing sourced in Sweden.

For an observer, the clean lines and natural finish of the wooden texture are the main highlights of this furniture piece. In the case of the Empire Chair, Kallio started with back legs, and slowly the furniture object took a shape that reminded him of a bygone era.
Being displayed at Stockholm Design Week, 2025, the limited-in-number Lamp 53 and Empire Chair will be available to buy at Nordiska Galleriet/NO GA showrooms and online from February 5. The Lamp 53 is available for $510 (€500) and interested buyers can choose from mustard, gray, and blue colors. On the other hand, the Empire chair is available in moss green color at a hefty price tag of $3,525 (€3,450).
