daily lives,” says Jose Cardona, Founder of Author & Co. The Author Forecast has a dark bezel frame with a satin finish made from recycled ABS plastic. The solid white oak finish lends the device a sophisticated look and a brass sundial at the top represents the rising sun.
This sundial is used to navigate weather forecast features. Simply rotate it clockwise to go from a literary quote to your detailed hourly and weekly forecast, and counterclockwise to come back to the quote. If you don’t like the particular quote, give the sundial a spin and the device will change it for you.
There is also a tiny brass button with the maker’s mark on it, a USB-C charging port at the back with a battery that can last for months on a single charge, and a solid brass base. Other than this, the Author Forecast is available in two sizes: volume 1 with a 4.3-inch display and volume 2 with a large 7.8-inch display. The glass E-ink screen doesn’t strain the eye and enhances readability, ensuring minimal energy consumption. Your weather report is displayed on this screen with a literary phrase to make the weather feel like something out of a classic novel.
This device allows you to seamlessly switch between Fahrenheit and Celsius. Besides, it has built-in Wi-Fi (a stable connection is required for up-to-date weather information) for updating the contents and software on this device. You can even change the font size of the quote through dynamic font sizing to enhance readability. And if you have kids around, its parental control feature makes sure that no explicit quotes are on the display.
Author Forecast has a vast library of more than 5,000 literary quotes (more are added regularly) from the finest authors to display when you ask for a live weather report.
