The robot vacuum brand ECOVACS may not be popular but it has made a swift impression with its new DEEBOT X8 Pro Omni robotic vacuum cleaner at CES 2025. The vacuum is equipped with a unique roller-based cleaning mop that increases the pressure on the floor to remove stubborn stains, while its real-time self-washing system ensures the mop is fresh for every scrub.
Described as the next generation of mopping, the embedded OZMO ROLLER cleans itself throughout the mopping process. The onboard 16 water nozzles rinse the mop, then the roller is washed 200 times per minute with a rolling mechanism. A unique scraper working in combination digs out all the dirt and water from the roller, which is then stored in the dirty water tank. The cleaning cycle is repeated as the robovac roams around the house to ensure it does not drag dirt and stain across the floor.
With its self-cleaning roller mop, the DEEBOT X8 Pro Omni applies 4000Pa downward pressure to clean the toughest dirt from the floor. Its TruEdge 2.0 Adaptive Edge Cleaning tech ensures a mop can extend sideways to reach gaps and hard-to-reach areas.
The vacuum employs AIVI 3D 3.0 Omni-Approach and a 3D Edge Sensor to recognize and avoid obstacles in its path and cleans the marked areas with 18,000Pa suction power. When cleaning over carpets, the robot vacuum automatically lifts the roller mop up to 10mm to avoid wetting the carpet. The ZeroTangle 2.0 technology with triple V-shaped structures can help prevent the tangling of hair.

The DEEBOT X8 Pro Omni comes with a 6400mAh battery that provides up to 290 minutes of runtime. Charging is taken care of by the Omni Station which further helps in keeping the mop clean with heat dry function. The vac is compatible with Google Home and Amazon Alexa so you can even chat with the onboard YIKO-GPT voice assistant to handle the cleaning operations through conversational commands. The DEEBOT X8 Pro Omni is slated to be available in February 2025. There is no mention of how much you may have to shell for it.
