Aiper, known for its pool cleaners, unveiled its new smart sprinkler, IrriSense, at CES 2025. This sprinkler creates a map and only waters the mapped lawn area, ensuring low water waste and healthy, plush lawns. IrriSense smart irrigation sprinkler is an all-in-one device that doesn’t require extra hardware for installation on a faucet like traditional counterparts.
This smart sprinkler is outfitted with a 33-foot-long waterproof power cord that needs an outlet. You will only need to attach a long, regular garden hose to reach a faucet. According to the maker, the installation and setup takes about 15 minutes. The installation includes four stakes secured in the ground that can be easily pulled up when you feel like relocating or removing the sprinkler during lawn mowing.
Oscillating back and forth, the IrriSense water blast can reach up to 39 feet while covering an area of 4,300 square feet. The water trajectory can be controlled through the Aiper mobile app. All you need to do is manually create a map, pinpointing the spots you need to be watered down. The process not only prevents water wastage but helps keep other areas like the public sidewalk on your front lawn dry.
The IrriSense smart sprinkler can adjust the watering routine by considering weather patterns and soil conditions. If its integrated sensor senses a slight possibility of rain it will automatically reschedule watering routines. There is also a separate oil sensor on the sprinkler that tracks the moisture levels. If the ground is generously watered from rain, it will reschedule the watering routine to conserve water.
The interesting thing is that this sprinkler can be used to dispense liquid fertilizers and pesticides. More than one sprinkler can be installed to expand the coverage area if you have a huge lawn. The IrriSense smart sprinkler will be available in May 2025 for $399.
