The projector market has been revolving around extremely portable models. We have seen fresh options from brands like TCL, Philips, and Dangbei in 2024. At the turn of the year, Epson is launching a pair of new ultra-short-throw (UST) projectors: EH-QS100W and EH-QS100B to its EH-Q Series. Both models are described as super-short-throw 4K projectors with similar features – the only difference is in their color. The former comes in white, while the EH-QS100B is available in black.
Place the Epson EH-QS100W/B about 32cm or 12.6 inches away from the screen to project an awesome 90-inch image. The projector can ideally display a screen ranging between 60-160 inches depending on the projection distance. Epson claims to provide 4K PRO-UHD resolution, with an onscreen pixel count of 4.14 million dots. The projector provides up to 4500 lumens of brightness and a 5,000,000:1 contrast ratio, making it suitable for both bright and dark environments.
The Epson EH-QS100W 4K UST home projector also employs a number of image enhancement technologies like 4K frame interpolation, 4K super-resolution, scene adaptive gamma correction, auto contract enhancement, auto contrast enhancement, dynamic tone mapping, and HDR10+ for more vivid and lifelike colors.

Setting up the projector is quick and easy with the Epson Setting Assistant App, which guides you through the installation process without the need for any professional help. There are three HDMI and USB ports to connect a media source to the projector. It also includes a LAN port and supports a wide range of IP control platforms for connecting with the smart home network and controlling it together with other systems, such as lighting and sound.
If you wish to experience the quality, the Epson EH-QS100B/W projectors will be available starting January 2025 for €5,299 (approx, $5,550).
