Adorable is the word for the Derby tiny house designed by Australian construction company Living Tiny Tasmania. Boasting a simple design, it promises comfort even in an ultra-compact living space. Although it may not be suitable for living in full-time for most people given the space constraint, it can be used as a vacation home for couples and loners. This tiny house only measures 15 feet long and flaunts a striking black color on the exterior and natural wood interior.

The big windows and a glass door keep the interior soaked in natural light. The builder has integrated the structure with a locker on the front, where outdoor gear like bikes can be accommodated. A flip-up bench is included on the front of the house for an outdoor BBQ session accompanied by a rollout awning. The interior has a natural ply finish complemented with black cabinets as per the client demand. However, if your aesthetic is vibrant and colorful, you can have it painted.

Being tiny and compact in size doesn’t mean it lacks in functionality. It includes a kitchen, a bedroom, and a bathroom offering modern amenities. Firstly, there is a kitchen with a countertop, a sink, lots of under-counter and overhead cabinets, and drawers.

The practical storage space is enough to store not just kitchen essentials but other belongings as well. A classic tile backsplash in the kitchen adds a touch of luxury and sophistication. Adjoining the kitchen is the bedroom space, where a cozy queen-size bed is flanked by two giant picture window.

There is a corner shelf above the bed where you can keep books and such. On the other side, you will find an aesthetic floating shelf by the entrance and hooks on the wall for hanging clothes and bags. The bathroom is past the kitchen. It is equipped with a shower, a vanity sink, and a toilet.

The Derby tiny house can be customized and built in different lengths of 19 feet long, 23 feet long, and 26 feet long and so on. You can contact the builder if you have any specifications. But the petite 15 feet Derby is ideal for a travel-loving couple to take along their adventures, as a guest house, vacation rental, or weekend getaway.
