Dogs are undoubtedly the most loyal creatures and for centuries humans have been blessed with their unfettered loyalty. They love unconditionally and all they ask in return are cuddles, belly rubs, and the same food they eat every day without complaining. When these furry friends care so much for their favorite hoo-man, they most ardently deserve exceptional care and puddles of love. To look after their comfort and well-being, London-based architectural firm Grimshaw Architects has designed an ergonomically characterized Soft Biome that reimagines doghouses as an epitome of affection and creativity.
Shortlisted for Barkitecture which will commence on 18th May, the Soft Biome pays tribute to the most iconic architecture built by Grimshaw, the Biomes of Eden Project in Cornwall. The revered architecture might be the inspiration behind this recent design.
The dome-shaped structure of the Soft Biome reminds of the petite structure of a honeycomb. Stressing on its multi-functionality and adaptability, it doubles as a bedding or shelter for your pooch, ensuring rest and tranquility.
Due to its soft shape and flexible design, it can be constructed in varied sizes and becomes stackable for easy storage. Thanks to its flexibility and stackability, it is easy to travel with and can be carried along wherever you and your beloved dog venture. Whether it is a long journey on the road with your furball or an exhilarating hike, you carry your dog’s house with you.

As the Soft Biome configuration depicts, it appears to be spacious for any size of dog to fall into a drooling slumber undisturbed. It looks like there might even be enough space for you to cuddle along with your best friend. The huge space at the center provides your dog a hassle-free access in and out.
When you turn it upside down for a shelter it can accommodate more than one dog, unless your pet needs some space and privacy. It is obvious how much joy it brings to both the dog and their humans in the most Paw-some way! Currently, the pet accessory is likely to be priced somewhere between $1,550 and $2,200.
