The Archetyp Lobby Chair is an ergonomic chair with a wide wooden frame supporting the seater’s back and entire structure. Designed by British designer Jasper Morrison for Finnish furniture brand Nikari, the chair is crafted using ash and oak and demonstrates solid structuring throughout its design. It is designed specifically to support long seating hours aiding comfort and ease and demonstrates Nordic craftsmanship in a minimalistic form.
Its design distinguishes the seat and the armrest with different materials and provides an uncomplicated and familiar appearance. The chair offers both a familiar and fresh take on design. A wooden structure flows from the armrest to the back and below the seat forming a continuous assembly that ends in long and slender legs of the chair.
The chair is light to pick and move around as desired. It displays a subtly refined version of a standard – or archetypal – lounge chair. To appeal visually, the surface is polished with a natural wood oil mix bringing in smoothness and sheen. The upholstery is carefully selected to upgrade your interiors and is available in two variants: Steelcut Trio and Molly.

“Nikari’s reputation for faultless craftsmanship allows the design to transcend ordinary everyday character, giving the design the edge it needs to perform in well-thought architectural surroundings,” explained Morrison. With the bare minimum and subtle refinement defining the chair, it is perfect for patios, lounges, or lobbies.
Nikari has crafted the Archetyp chair in two different sizes making it an apt furniture piece for your house: a large-size befitting lounge area whereas a smaller one is fit for the lobby.
