The Oyster and Berm Sconces are the most iridescent collection of lights by Toronto-based design company Hollis+Morris. To commemorate the studio’s 10th anniversary, Mischa Couvrette – one of the prolific designers and the guardian of the studio – created two amazing sconces inspired by his profound love for the ocean. The Oyster and Berm sconces are simple and minimalistic in their design yet add a timeless elegance to various spaces.
The furniture and lighting by Hollis+Morris are created to adapt to minimalistic and contemporary spaces and bring a subtle allure. The Oyster and Berm sconces have a similar vibe exuding their elegant and versatile look imbued with timeless beauty.
First in the collection is the Oyster sconce which resembles the pearl oyster. The shell of the sconce has a plated or powder-coated profile to secure the acrylic pearl which produces a warm light. This light fixture features no back plate which gives it its uniqueness. The Oyster sconce is multifaceted and can blend into any interior without giving up its whimsical charm.

Second in the collection is the intriguing Berm sconce. The berm has a grainy, wooden structure, holding the hand-blown light orb. It highlights the grainy texture of the berm when lit. The light is versatile and can be used as a wall light or as a ceiling light. You get this light in two variations; one in a hand-blown glass orb and the other one is the acrylic sconce.
The Oyster and Berm sconce collection is fitted to be used in any residential area, commercial and hospitality spaces. You will get the Oyster sconce for $850, whereas the Berm sconce is priced at $650.
