Someone kicked off a meme and Microsoft followed it up with a real product, maybe considering a need for an Xbox fridge. Xbox Series X Fridge was the technology giant’s first foray into the game console-branded kitchen appliances, which has now reached a point where Microsoft has brought a toaster to the market.
The release of the Xbox Series S Toaster is not aligned with changing the way we toast our bread. It’s a branded approach for some gaming enthusiasts to latch onto and flaunt bread flavored with the essence of their favorite gaming device.
The $40 Xbox toaster, which was first spotted in France back in March 2023, is already selling through Walmart as a capable product. The toaster can pop up to two breads at a time, toasted to your liking, with an Xbox sphere logo imprinted onto the bread while it’s heating it.

According to the Walmart listing, the Xbox Series S Toaster, designed after the Microsoft Xbox Series S gaming console, is a two-slice toaster with a wide slot. It comes with six shade settings for the bread and also has a bagel setting to perfectly toast your bagel. The onboard defrost setting can handle food items straight out of the freezer.
As Gizmodo notes, the Xbox toaster has “significantly more physical buttons and dials than Microsoft’s … console,” its customizable browning dial doubles as a digital LED countdown timer. Additionally, the countertop-size toaster, measuring 15-inch wide, 7.6-inch tall and 4.6-inch deep, comes with a removable crumb tray and automatic temperature control.
Console gamers and Microsoft fans who want to show their fandom on the kitchen shelf should take home this next-gen toasting console with all the features of a regular toaster with the X factor!
