Victoria-based tiny house firm Iconic Tiny Home has shared another one of its recently completed builds. The Kakadu 2.0 is a $80K tiny house that not only functions as a traditional mobile habitat but also serves as a vacation home or an Airbnb rental for visitors. “The tiny home has been designed with a simple open plan making it the ideal guest accommodation,” mentions the company.
The tiny house is based on a 20 feet long triple-axle trailer and is finished in ‘Colorbond steel and weathergroove smooth 150mm wall cladding.’ The home is further outfitted with aluminum low E-Glass doors and windows with fly screens that allow light and air to enter inside the dwelling. On the inside, the tiny house boasts MDF lining wall cladding and oak timber laminate flooring.
Compact yet spacious in size, the tiny house features a kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom. The bedroom and bathroom both lie on opposite ends, hence sandwiching the kitchen space in between. The single-level tiny home has a ground-level bedroom that features a queen-size bed. Sleeping two people comfortably, the bedroom falls next to a glazing that offers you scenic views of the outdoors as well.
Nearby is a kitchen that consists of two burner induction hot plate, a standard chrome tapware, an American oak timber bench top, and a Bosch electric oven alongside a breakfast bar with a bi-fold window. Then we have the bathroom that includes a glass-enclosed shower, toilet, and wall-hung vanity. The tiny house also features an integrated deck that can be added upon customization.
