- Felt sheets in 3 different green shades
- Chart paper
- Sparkly white yarn
- Hot glue gun
- Scissors
Steps for DIY Felt Christmas Tree
- Make a paper cone or use a foam one
- Then make a squiggly pattern at the bottom of a 3-inch wide felt sheet. Repeat the process with the two remaining shades of the green felt
- Now stuff the cone with cotton and create a stem from four glue skewers, which in turn will be glued onto a cardboard piece or coaster
- Wrap the first layer of green felt on the bottom of the cone and cut the access felt
- Use dark shade first, then medium dark, and then light from the bottom up
- Keep adding layers until your cone is completely covered in varying shades of green felt
- Glue white yarn along the squiggles of each layer, adding a perfect trim to your DIY tabletop tree
- Add a tree topper star and display it wherever you want
