It has been a while since we saw a tiny house that is actually small and reasonably priced. With gigantic – both in configuration and pricing – single-level micro-dwellings pouring on your screens every other day, today we decided to cover a tiny house that offers 160 sq. ft. of fully furnished space for $70,000. Designed by New York-based international building supply company 84 Lumber’s tiny house venture 84 Tiny Living, the Degsy is a contemporary, one-story tiny house that is perfect for a solo traveler.
The Degsy tiny house is outfitted with sturdy, long-lasting UV-resistant exterior cedar siding. Built on a steel trailer with radial tires, safety brakes, and stabilizing jacks, the micro-dwelling packs a punch in its petite form. The cool gray exterior is brilliantly contrasted by warm walnut flooring and wood-clad walls.
The modern space is equipped with big windows so you won’t feel cramped. It has an adequate bathroom, raised kitchen, living room-cum-bedroom, tons of storage options, and an HVAC system.
Accessible via a glass door, the interior of the Degsy allows free movement. Opposite the door, a big closet is located adjacent to the bathroom. The bathroom has a shower, vanity sink, composting toilet, and mirror with a built-in medicine cabinet and storage shelves.
The bedroom-cum-living room is the central space of the house and comes with a sofa bed, which can transform into a queen-size bed in an instant. It has a wall-mounted television so you can binge-watch your favorite shows and movies.

Next is the raised kitchen. It is outfitted with butcher-block countertops with an integrated cutting board, a mini fridge, a water-efficient faucet, under-counter and overhead cabinets, and an electric cooktop. Opposite the cooking station, a breakfast bar for two is installed, which doubles as a more prep space.
The interior is outfitted with energy-saving LED lights, a smoke/CO2 detector, a fire extinguisher, a 36-gallon fresh water tank, a tankless water heater, and a dual-split HVAC system. The energy-efficient Degsy tiny house on wheels is perfect for solo travelers and travel-loving couples.
