Highly inspired by the quirky characters of the Hollywood smash ‘Beetlejuice’, a couple in Salt Lake County, Utah seems to have gone too far with it. Displaying their love for the movie, James has found perfect ways to decorate his yard for this Halloween.
James has ditched the traditional Halloween decoration to admire the ghostly apparitions and jaw-dropping transformations in his yard (graveyard in this case!). Bringing the chaos and madness to his house is where you’ll witness larger-than-life figurines of the chosen movie characters.
Adorning the movie’s vibe for their upcoming Halloween frenzy, the biggest challenge faced by James was the procurement of Halloween decor that could perfectly fit in line. When the endless search for the aptly-themed Halloween display went futile, the couple took the onus of constructing it themselves.
To start with, a five-foot-tall tombstone was built along with unusual characters for a spooky and theatrical journey that’s bound to leave you screaming. Harry the Hunter, Char-Man, the magician’s assistant, Lydia, the voodoo doctor, and Miss Argentina are seen possessing the yard to daunt and impress the guests and passersby.
The dearth of ready-to-use Halloween displays proved to be a bane when the yard decorations were built using foam insulation boards with few store-bought skeletons to sit on top of the grave. The use of spray foam, drywall and paint, wood and an assortment of lighting in totality is bound to make this experience befitting the afterlife like never before.

James is all clear about his wish to add on some unusual characters to the existing list for next year’s Halloween celebrations. You will see Adam, Barbara, and Juno exuding a scary vibe on the built-in graves. James credits the local community, daybreak and Rocky Mountain Halloween for inspiring them to create these animatronics setting the front yards and gardens for surprise makeovers.
Salt Lake County’s area can largely be seen enveloping distinctive Halloween themes for their decorations- the Barbie Street, the Encanto house, the Harry Potter house, and the Stranger Things house – just to name a few. Light and sound decor, scary sign boards, lighted inflatables, and huge animatronics on ‘Beetlejuice’ theme are sure to add fun and eerie spookiness to your beloved holiday.
