If mastering miniature is an art, Modern Tiny Living is the artist. The Ohio-based tiny house company has designed over fifty tiny homes and lot many shells, over the years. Despite the tiny house trend drifting from compact dwellings to bigger mobile habitats, MTL has stayed true to its design philosophy, which is ‘smaller is better’. Having said that, the company has recently introduced a brand new tiny house on wheels, which is small yet highly functional. Dubbed Restoration tiny house, the latest micro dwelling coming from the foundry of MTL measures 24 feet long and is firmly poised on a double-axle trailer.
Akin to MTL’s other models, the Restoration tiny house is finished in LP Vertical smart siding with a steel roof. The poplar tongue and groove walls adorn the interior while LVT flooring adds durability factor to the house. The tiny house is outfitted with tempered glass windows that allow sunlight to bathe the interior.
Speaking of the interior, the tiny house boasts a beautiful color theme, featuring a modern white aesthetic paired with stained wood accents. It includes an elevated living room, a gourmet kitchen, and a loft bedroom. Encompassed by windows on all sides, the living room is cozy. However, it transitions from cozy to super functional courtesy of a large sofa that can be converted into a bed.
The sofa bed takes up most of the space in the living room and features eight drawers for storing nitty-gritty essentials. Not to mention, sub-floor storage, and bookshelves that can be used to house minute essentials. On the opposite side lies a storage-integrated staircase that leads to the bedroom of the house. Featuring just a double mattress and a bookshelf, the Restoration’s tiny house bedroom is spacious yet incredibly useful. Combined, the bedroom and living room sleeps a minimum of four people in a breeze.
Downstairs is the kitchen of the tiny home. It comes loaded with jam-packed features including custom cabinetry, a countertop, a dining table beneath the staircase, an under-mount sink, a two-burner electric cooktop, an electric oven, a refrigerator, and a microwave. On your way to the bathroom, you’ll even spot a washer/dryer combo.
