Ecocapsule kick-started an evolution of off-grid tiny living that would give users an alternative way to experience compact living. The unique egg-shaped sanctuary for sustainable living now receives an upgrade, in size and amenities, to leave us with a tiny home that breaks free from the ordinary without hesitation.
Scheduled to hit the market by mid-2024, the Ecocapsule NextGen – as the new model’s called – is available for pre-order now. This innovative tiny house is not your typical rectangular structure – it’s also an awe-inspiring egg-shaped structure – designed to captivate your imagination, like its predecessor.
The major update to the NextGen is its size. The Ecocapsule has been extended along its longitudinal axis, growing from 4.67 meters to 5.2 meters. While it remains a tiny house, this expansion opens up more interior space without compromising on its ability to fit in a standard HC container. This is an essential ability since the Ecocapsule NextGen doesn’t come with built-in wheels, it has to be transported by truck or container, for a life on the road.
A double glass door is your gateway to the world inside the NextGen while being a seamless connection with nature as well. It features a slightly lowered floor from the predecessor that along with an elongated body results in an additional 550 liters of storage space, allowing you to pack all your essentials and more.
The carefully redesigned interior maximizes storage and introduces an extra window to bring in natural light, making the space feel even more inviting. You’ll find a cozy living area with a convertible sofa bed, perfect for relaxing or hosting guests. A stowaway table provides space for dining or working, while a mini kitchen and a bathroom – with their own water system – cater to the occupants’ needs in the locations less beaten.
The Ecocapsule NextGen is expected to arrive with a more refined and bigger solar panel array to further the off-the-grid lifestyle. It could be coupled with a wind turbine and a high-capacity battery. For now, this is only a presumption, rest assured that the Ecocapsule NextGen is built for maximum energy efficiency.
