I often wonder what makes Baluchon so good. Is it the red cedar exterior offered in every second model or a compact yet functional interior that provides almost every necessity of living? Well, whatever the case, the truth is, Baluchon is one of the leading tiny house manufacturers not just in France but in all of Europe, and the Téméraire tiny house from three years ago still stands testament to the same.
Turquoise aluminum detailing is undeniably the biggest highlight of the Téméraire and it is equally complimented by the red cedar exterior. Built on a double-axle trailer, the 19.6 feet long tiny house gets power from a standard RV-style hookup, and features cotton, linen, and hemp insulation to maintain optimal temperature indoors.
Upon stepping inside, you’ll be greeted first up by the kitchen which is pretty simple in approach yet highly functional. Baluchon has outfitted the space with a countertop, beneath which lies a cabinet and three drawers for storage. A small fridge and oven have been cleverly accommodated in the section while a four-burner cooktop is placed adjacent to the sink. There are also a number of floating shelves that can house essentials and decorative items.
On the opposite side is the living room of the tiny house. Featuring a sofa, chair, and side table, the living room looks pretty decent and can be used for fun gatherings. There are windows and ventilators on either side of the living room keeping it airy and naturally lighted. Worth mentioning is the wood-burning stove placed on top of a storage cabinet that can store shoes and essentials.
Baluchon doesn’t like creating fancy bathrooms because their tiny house size doesn’t allow them to accommodate a Jacuzzi or giant bathtubs in it. It is the same case with Téméraire tiny house bathroom as well. It is accessed via a barn sliding door and features the necessary – shower, toilet, and sink.

Then there is the sole bedroom of the house that can be reached via a storage-integrated staircase. Interestingly, you’d spot a cozy nook under the stairs, which Baluchon confirms is a personal hideout for the owner’s dog.
Well, coming to the bedroom, it is an extended loft that features a double bed and can also be utilized as an activity area. A rope safety barrier has been installed to offer protection to users with a habit of twisting and turning in bed. There is another loft packed inside the gorgeous exterior which mainly functions as a storage space.
