Do you often wonder what makes tiny houses in Europe different from the ones in the US, New Zealand, or any other country for that matter? Well, the most precise answer to the question is the size of the micro-dwelling. Tiny houses in the US and down under are now accustomed to measuring over 30 feet, but to come across such a long dwelling in Europe is a rarity. It has obviously got to do with local zoning and land-use regulations. However, one European mobile habitat that defies all odds, and measures 32 feet in length is Rika tiny house.
Designed by Swedish tiny house manufacturer, Treesign Tiny Homes, the Rika tiny house features a living room, kitchen, loft, and bathroom. Finished in horizontal siding painted with red paint, the tiny house looks really exquisite.
The real specialty of the mobile habitat is its interior though, which accommodates a functional home office and a cute little kid’s room. The office is based on the main floor and features a glass door that allows you to move out and take fresh air whenever required. Helping you work from the comforts of the house, the home office is equipped with a desk and a couple of chairs. The company mentions that the space can even be utilized as a studio.
While the home office is on one end, the living room is on the other. Unlike any other traditional living room that is compact in size, Rika’s living room is actually large enough to accommodate a sofa, storage, and dining area. Adjacent is the kitchen featuring an oven, fridge, and freezer, a large sink, and plenty of storage.
Another USP of the tiny house that caught my attention is the long corridor. The makers have utilized the area by incorporating plenty of storage solutions alongside a washing and drying machine in the space. Nearby is the bathroom which is one of the favorite sections of any tiny house. The Rika tiny house bathroom contains a shower encompassed inside a cubicle, a separate toilet, and a washbasin.

The tiny house features an extra-large loft that accommodates two bedrooms. Both bedrooms have low ceilings and can sleep two people each. The second bedroom however features a single bed so the other person might need an extra mattress to sleep on the floor. In addition to sleeping an adult or a child, it can even function as a kid’s playroom with many storage cubbies around.
