Sony Electronics well known for its high-quality audio accessories has announced the SRS-XV800, a new wireless speaker aimed at flashing parties at home. Besides being a party speaker, it can also connect to your TV for an enhanced audio/visual experience. There is an onboard optical port to connect the speaker to any smart TV for high-resolution audio.
Sony’s new party speaker features omnidirectional sound that fills every corner of the room and the colorful ambient lighting can sync to the beat and rhythm of the music, creating a house party vibe. There are five tweeters to deliver clear sound on both the front and rear ends and it is equipped with dual X-Balanced Speaker units (6.7-inch x 6.7-inch woofers) for punchy bass. The non-circular diaphragm of the woofers maximizes the surface area and increases sound pressure for deeper and punchier bass, less distortion, and more vocal clarity.
When using the speaker in combination with the TV’s in-built speakers, the TV Sound Booster function provides deep bass and room-filling sound to greatly enhance the watching experience. The company says the sound waves will ricochet off the walls to surround the listener with a lifelike sound.
The XV800 portable speaker has an intuitive touch panel to control all the settings. It comes with a built-in battery for up to 25 hours of listening time and when you run out of juice, you can enjoy the benefits of quick charge feature. Charging for just ten minutes gets up to three hours of playtime.
As for the connectivity, the boomy speaker has karaoke and guitar input, a USB port, as well as Bluetooth. There are also Echo and Key Control features on the rear panel of the speaker to make karaoke even more convenient.

There are built-in wheels and a handle on the SRS-XV800 portable speaker to easily roll it to the desired location.
The Sony speaker lets you dance all night to its clear and rich sound and when you are finished, it can be connected to your TV for use as a soundbar. It’s now available for preorder for approximately $649 USD at the official website and Amazon.
