British designers are known for adding class and elegance to their products. Carrying the notion forward is Matthew Hilton who recently created the Ella range of chairs for Case Furniture. The range comprises an armchair and a dining chair – both featuring a classy shape and upholstery.
When I had the first glimpse at the chair, it looked downright posh to me. The reason is its beautiful design that is as neat as intriguing it is. The chair comprises two core elements: the organically shaped shell and upholstery. The shell ensures a cool shape while the upholstered back and seat stretching over a steel tube frame and injection moulded foam seat, provides the user with a fluffy base to sit upon. The chair stands on four legs in wood or metal.
Wings on the backrest are another highlight of the Ella chair. Coming out of both sides of the backrest, they add to the beauty of the piece and embrace the user from two sides. Case Furniture states these chairs are designed to provide a friendly seating environment for many hours. The user can even add more comfort with the Ella ottoman that can be paired with the chair to create a lounge set-up.
