It really doesn’t matter whether you are a rambler, traveler, or office goer like me because, at the end of the day, we all have to feed our bellies. I usually prefer homemade food, which is a healthier and tastier alternative compared to outside food, and carry it in my regular-sized lunch box. However, the only problem I face is the food getting cold by lunchtime.
If you are facing the same problem, Steambox is here to answer our woes. Steambox is a self-heating lunch box that lets us enjoy a hot meal anytime, anywhere, and without even compromising the quality of food. It is a rechargeable, smart and sleek lunch box that heats up food with a push of a button. The box uses steam technology to warm food and has an anti-leaking mechanism to ensure that it never spills food.
The user simply has to add water in the morning and, when they are ready to eat, turn the box on and the food will be warm in 8-12 minutes. Comprising the main box, an inner container, an inner lid, the double sealing mechanism and an aesthetic design topped by a bamboo wooden lid is what makes it an absolute jaffa.
A regular lunch box may be prone to leaking or and breakage but Steambox won’t disappoint you in this aspect. The lunch box can heat up to three times on a single charge so one can eat multiple times a day.

The lunch box is app connected, through which the user would be able to turn on Steambox with 3 steaming consistencies (low, medium, and high). Available for pre-order at $200, the Steambox also comes with two USB-C charging ports to charge your mobile device.
A Netherland-based start-up was working on this product for a couple of years. Initially launched as a crowd-funding campaign in 2019 and following internal disputes it didn’t make big then. The lunch box was now released at the recently concluded CES 2022 with a new name.
