Amazon has introduced a new smart soap dispenser that works with Alexa and offers innovative features to facilitate users. Basically, it is an automatic soap dispenser with 20-second LED timer which guides people to have a proper hand wash.
There are 10 LEDs on the top of the soap dispenser unit that light up on each use. The last light turns off after 20 seconds, indicating the CDC-recommended minimum amount of time for washing hands.
This 12oz, countertop liquid soap dispenser integrates Wi-Fi for connectivity, along with support for Alexa voice assistant. It can be connected to a compatible Echo device to create an Alexa Routine.
This will make the Amazon Echo automatically play songs, jokes, and more while washing hands. But this is not what Alexa is supposed to do, the integration seems more of a marketing gimmick.
A cool feature is variable dispensing that dispenses three different amounts of soaps according to the distance of the hand from the nozzle. The closer the hand, the lesser amount of soap will be dispensed.

This automatic liquid soap dispenser has a rechargeable battery that lasts up to three months on a single charge. The battery life also varies according to device settings and usage.
No matter, how many times you use the Amazon smart soap dispenser in a day, it will still remind you to scrub your hands for a minimum of 20 seconds. It is priced at $54.99 and is available on Amazon.
